History

Interjute was founded in March 1958 in Holland, as a supplier of reused jute bags.

This business vision, favored by the good economic times that benefited the increase in exports, soon turned Interjute into one of the largest suppliers in Europe.

Interjute has always had an innovative spirit and has known how to focus on the needs
of our clients. In the 1980s, with the rise of polypropylene as the ideal material for making bags, Interjute positioned itself as one of the leading companies in the sector.

Due to its rapid adaptation to the change from jute to polypropylene, it established itself as one of the most important packaging suppliers, not only in Europe but also in Africa.

Since 2001, Interjute has stabilized, due to its continuous growth and geostrategic position in Spain, by leading new markets in the Iberian Peninsula, with its headquarters in Cádiz, and also by becoming the main supplier of plastic packaging for Spain and Portugal.

Its extensive history, experience and strong territorial expansion make Interjute a global and consolidated company in the sector today, with a deep-rooted work philosophy, that has managed to evolve in its more than 70 years of experience in the global flexible packaging market.
